My husband and I have yet to try out the software, but we have asked questions that has till today NOT been answered. We bought the software today and did all the steps they had asked in the email we got after purchase.

We planned our day around it but is stuck with waiting for them to respond to us. Their customer service is horrible. In the chat bubble on the website it says that they are always available. Do not fall for that, they are not.

We tried the chat bubble thing multiple times and never got any answers back. Tried calling the number on the website multiple times and left a voicemail, also never got an answer or a call back. We are still waiting for them to contact us and put the software on godaddy. Im not sure if we need to wait or just file a claim but so far the service is HORRIBLE.

Worst customer service I have ever worked with. And we are real customers (before they say its fake) and we can also prove it with receipts.

I thought this was going to be good because their demo looks great and they had a special on so I purchased a multi-site license but much to my disappointment the script is plagued with issues. The install script has two stages requiring two different installers to be run.

One installs the core while the other updates the database. Already a poor installation process needing two separate installers. Once I got through that unprofessionally implemented install process I found I could not get the script to work on a server meeting the PHP and MySQL specs listed on their site. They offered to host it on their free hosting and there are still issues.

it has been nearly a month and the issues have not been resolved and my support ticket about it has not been followed up since 17 December 2018 when they said a developer was going to fix the issue. A big disappointment and I am convinced they are replying to tickets to keep the positive vibe while I lose interest, I am nor convinced this is a sham and want to warn everybody against spending money on this defective application.

Hm but everyone knows that Rick Jacobson, aka Michael Allen, aka Michael Pennington, aka Wyoming snowflake is a scammer. Scam is actually what he has devoted his miserable life to.

they are simply the worse company to deal with. they are scammers, have no customer service etiquette, and when i requested for refund within 5 business days as i figured nothing was working with them, they became my enemy, threatened me that they will take me to court, i will never get a penny back, but they forgot there are policies and rights. they promise 20000 members that will be install at the time the site is installed. when the site was installed they only gave 21 members and said 20000 is fake and is not recommended. the templates are worse ever. the admin section is not user friendly at all. i am warning everyone to stay away. they are crooks and will only want your hard earned money. not worth trying. you have been warned.

These fools pulled a quick one on me and probably many. First they dont have adequite install instruction, they have it from an old version and they make you have them install it and once installed the program they you use on your server glitches and also sends data or in other words is bugged and sends data back to their servers so they can anonymously rig your software on your server so you can have problems which eventually they can only fix and they CHARGE you for every fix PLUS their software looks so outdated and many of the features in the site do not work at all. I recommend using another service that doesn't fraudulently do things to you. ITS a waste of money, BUYER BEWARE!

Dont even consider they will take your money and run! Its been a year and no word, they took 10000 from me and didnt say a word. Been trying to get a hold of Rick and he must have fled the country. I cant be more pissed at this crook. What kind of person makes a website to supposidly help people make dating sites and ultimately steals their money and runs. I hope that Rick rots in *** He seems to be the only one behind the facade and is running this scam of an operation. The number provided never calls you back and also Rick might be nice before you pay but ultimately he takes your money and runs. Someone might *** him i bet.

Having toyed around and used many dating software apps, AdvanDate is the most user friendly software you can get and the tech support you get with iCupid now is 2nd to none and the good thing is the upgrade from version to version is a smooth transition. I can’t recommend this script enough. Steer clear of the Russians. AdvanDate is all American. If you don't believe us, ask them all to prove it. Advandate was the only one that could prove they were actually in the US. Not Russia or some other Eastern European country. Really, do your homework people and dont' fall for these fake reviews by competitors.

As soon as this crook (Rick Jacobson from "AdvanDate") gets a negative comment he writes 3 (!) positive reviews about himself to bury the negative comment. He speaks with his clients rudely and hates all of them. Don't be scammed by this company. Don't believe their advertisements, that's just a showcase. Recently I've purchased a product from advandate.com. Discovered that it is almost fully based on WordPress and got shocked of this advandate scam! I could download it free of charge but paid *** 500 bucks for a software which is full of bugs. Got NO support from them, was blocked by their support when asked for my refund! This was the worst experience I had with a software developer company. They just like accusing everybody, but they are 10 times worse than any other company I've dealt with. Just like writing fake advandate reviews to mislead people and rip them as they've done with me. Dont believe Rick Jacobson, ever. Advandate scam tries to make an advantage from its geographical location, but in fact there is absolutely no advantage in it. I'm an american, bought this script and was scamed by advandate.com. Most probably these americans are located somewhere in Kirgizstan as well. Better to chose polite support in Malaysia than rude support from the US. Buying a product from advandate.com means one way ticket for your money.

Looks like I got suckered by this company, advandate scam. There is little support.

Just the run around. The script did remind me of Wordpress but really it's the lack of support that ruins the whole thing in my opinion. I was told I would get a refund after the owner demanded I take the script off my site because he was tired of me asking to him to fix the script. He told me it must be my servers.

It was not as once I deleted the advandate script I put up a functioning script from another company in 5 minutes and it worked fine. He said my refund is being "processed." We all know it takes 5 minutes to refund from paypal. He is making me wait but only after he told me to immediately delete the script which I did in 1 minute after getting his email. I will be surprised if he refunds my money.

I plan on contacting the sate attorney general if he does not refund my $300 like he said he would and the BBB. To say I was dissatisfied with the support is an understatement. 2.5 never worked fully for me. I have called many times and no one answers the phone.

He touts excellent customer service and satisfaction guaranteed yet for almost 2 months I did not have a fully functioning script. He said 2.5 would work and it did not for me. He stated I would get upgrades for life but he said he was too "busy" to upgrade my site in any sort of timely manner. A refund is due so I hope he pulls through.

So far I am not confident I will get refunded. Technically he has 30 days but if he was so tired of dealing with my requests to properly install 2.5 in a timely manner he would have refunded the money after he saw a different script on my site. If he waits 30 days to refund that is really bad business practices but nothing illegal.

Once Mr. Rick Jacobson told me to *** off because he can't handle my customer review I knew I made a big mistake purchasing AdvanDate service. Luckily that I took down the software and found another affordable one. The person that was previously designing that software for me told me that it has a lot of issue and a good target for hackers. I'm still waiting on my refund of 200$ from AdvanDate. If you ever encounter terrible service the way I did you just might be dealing with a mediocre company. That's why it's good to do research and look at the reviews before purchasing, it was a waste of my time and money.

My Advandate review: Advandate is not really a scam but a very poorly written software marketed vigourously by Rick Jacobson who decided he can "run" a software company. He is just a dreamer from Wyoming and he bought a very bad script Emeeting a year ago and now uses freelancers from India to "improve" this piece of ***. I used to have Emeeting so I know what I am talking about. Rick also has put an insanely hight price because "he is from America" :-) Poor little boy. Get a life kid, you are pathetic.

Yes, I agree that AdvanDate is a bad piece of software. It just inherited all the problems of Emeeting which it actually is.

One can not change a piece of *** in just on year. One random Emeeting review:

What a waste of time and money this software is. Next stop is small claims court if I don’t get my money back. I dont think eMeeting is lowcost.

For those of you that are considering purchasing anything from rick at advandate.com or any advandate software please consider this before purchasing, things have changed for the worse. I was his first customer, back then he convinced me that he would have so much to offer me regarding the advandate software and that it was still in the building stage, i admired his energy and his commitment to customer service back then. But things have obviously changed since that day, when i purchased the service i was told about all the features that would come with the package i was buying and two of those features were the Instant Messenger Feature as well as the Chat Feature. I recieved an email today (after he turned off those two services i might add) that he was no longer going to include those two items in the package and that we had to pay $99 for them now. So i kindly sent him a message asking him why, he replied with the original email that i never received, no formal note nothing just an cold email, so i sent him another email asking him to give me what i paid for out of respect, he replied that it was his decision to restructure as he calls it, i call it ripping people off. he basically blew me off and then took my support away from me, and threaten to call the cops for harrassment. He cannot be trusted... I paid for the software and now the software is free! He wants another $99.00 from me and yet i already paid him for that service as it was supposed to be included. When he has money issues he changes the rules to fill his pockets to fly back and forth to taiwan where he hides out much of the time i guess, he supposedly lives in Wyoming but i doubt he spends much time there, its a ripoff... Im not sure whats going on with him lately but he has changed, no longer does he take care of those that are not constantly giving him money, and when you do pay, he just changes the contract as he sees fit and charges you again, i can tell you that if i did not keep my promise to my customers they would leave me, hint hint... I had a feeling the day would come when i maybe should have gone with a different company other than him, but i trusted him to take care of those that took care of him in his hour of need when he was trying to get sales when he first started... I can see now that he is no longer willing to stand behind what he says... he is a worthless spinless weasle Its ok rick and its ok advandate, im looking elsewhere for other choices as we speak and ill keep you posted when i no longer require you to be associated with me, my good name, or my site any further...

I would like to warn the webmasters about one of the dating software providers. AdvanDate scam has ripped me off.

I just want my money back. I read all the claims and I can say that most of them are true from my brief time trying to get the software working. The whole thing is a scam to collect $$$$ I had to pay to access their forums and pay to remove ads from the software (which never worked by the way). I sent numerous emails to support staff…contacted their “Rick Jacobsons” and only received a reply back when I left a nasty comment on one page.

But the reply didn’t address my issues – it was totally unprofessional and irrelevant.

Their premium members are full of ***. They will screw with you and call you newb trying to make you feel *** which I guess makes most people sign up for “Premium” membership so then they will have that “Premium” tag on their forum avatar. They have special hidden forums for Premium members apparently.

Don’t be fooled and sucked in. You’ll be paying and paying and paying.

Luckily I got out at $500 and just called it a loss.

PayPal will NOT refund your money. I REPEAT:

PAYPAL WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY!

So do NOT buy AdvanDate unless maybe you have lots of $$$ and can buy their $999 plan which bumps you up to premium status immediately and *MAY* give you some response from their staff.

Everything said about advandate software being a scam is true. Every file is bug filled for the purpose of you paying them to fix it.

Even after you pay for ad/link removals, there is no true functionality unless you spend thousands more for modifications. After you spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours working on the software, they then abandon it totally and start re-creating, re-coding and come out with a total different software... still buggy with the same results- dollars for cost and hours of work to try to get some form of functionality out of it. Plus Its full of encoded files which links to them .I know, I've tried using advandate for several years and just when you think you could possibly get it to work BAM, they drop it and have something else..

with even more bugs and fixes to have to pay for.. Advandate is an insult to website designers everywhere. They could have something worth using if they'd stick with what they start and make it functional..

I would really watch out for this company the original owner started this from Massachusetts owner james ugi apparently is the original person whom started this scam company and makes sure they get paid with UK dollars to get more for the software. This is the biggest scam that ever happened to me and I also programmed some of the site as well to try to fix it although the software was running at an old version of apache that was so old it was hacked so bad I could not get into the admin area. I feel sorry for anyone buying this type of scripts online you really have to pay attention and also I am sad to say our government gives them way to much protection send complaints to the Wyoming attorney generals office and tell them what they did I lost 15 thousand dollars or more with this don't allow this to happen again.
